Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before placing your order. Our Terms and Conditions are in accordance with "The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000" and specify the terms under which we agree to sell products to you. If you do not agree to anything in our Terms and Conditions you must not continue to use this Website for any purpose. Illustrations & descriptions of products are provided as a guide only. Due to the nature of some products, ie; handmade papers, they may vary slightly.
Your statutory rights are not affected by these terms and conditions, but we reserve the right to refuse to supply goods or services at our discretion and without further explanation.
Acceptance of Your Order
A binding contract is formed between you and "A Card 4 U" when you receive confirmation from us by
e-mail, telephone or other means that your order has been despatched.
Payments
All on-line payments are made using NoChex's own secure on-line payment facility. This facility offers a secure way of transferring funds and utilises 128 bit SSL technology, to ensure your details are encrypted. We do not have access to your credit card details, which are held on their server. You do not need to have an account with them if your order is under £100. They accept international payments & from the following UK issued cards, Mastercard, Switch, Solo, Maestro, Visa debit, & Visa Electron.
 
If your card issuing bank uses either the "Verified by Visa" (VbV) scheme or MasterCard "SecureCode" (MSC) scheme to ensure that only the registered cardholder can use this card, you will be directed to a Cardholder Authentication page.
This new internet verification check has been designed as an additional level of protection that helps reduce the risk of fraud by allowing card holders to be authenticated by using a secure password at the exact time of an online purchase.
To continue with the transaction & if you have registered your card for either VbV or MSC you will be required to enter your password when your card issuing bank's window opens. If you have forgotten your password you will still be able to continue by answering various security questions.
If you have not previously registered for VbV or MSC your card issuing bank will ask you to register. You must register your card to the relevant scheme for you to continue with the transaction. Your card will be checked & debited by NoChex & a confirmation email sent to you.
"NoChex" will appear on your bank statement & not "A Card 4 U".

If you prefer to pay by cheque, please select "payment by cheque" from the payment options and send your cheque to us within 7 days. There is a minimum order value of £10. We will restock any items if payment is not received within this time. Please make cheques payable to "A Card 4 U". Your order will only be dispatched when your cheque clears. This is usually 5 working days following receipt of your cheque. We will send you a confirmation e-mail when we receive your cheque, in addition to the usual order e-mails.
We also accept Postal Orders. Uncrossed (cash) postal orders will ensure your order is dispatched the same day as receipt. Crossed postal orders will be treated the same as cheques & your order will be dispatched when it has cleared (usually 5 working days from receipt). Remember to ask for a proof of postage.

If you live locally & choose the local delivery service, you may pay for your order via the "Cash on delivery" or "NoChex" option. We are not able to accept cheques for this service.
Health and Safety
Some items require adult supervision and should be kept away from small children. The products we sell are for use as decoration only and are NOT toys due to potential choking hazards and cuts from sharp implements. Some products come in plastic wrapping and therefore care must be taken to reduce any potential risk of suffocation. As an adult it is your responsibility to keep such items away from babies and children.
The Offensive Weapons Act 1996
Under the Offensive Weapons Act 1996 it is an offence for anyone in the UK under the age of 16 to purchase a knife or similar cutting tools that could be used to harm others.
In purchasing from this site, you are accepting the terms and conditions on this page and certify that, should you be purchasing a knife or similar, you are over 16 years of age and agree to provide
"A Card 4 U" with truthful and accurate information and to act in accordance with the aforementioned act.
