3D Decoupage

  1. Cut out the different numbered stages from the Design House Papercraft 3D Decoupage sheet.
  2. If there are areas within the design that need to be cut out, you may find it easier with a craft knife before you cut out the main design.
  3. Write the number on the back as you cut out the pieces.

  4. Attach the first stage to your project.
  5. Depending on the look you want to achieve, it can be fixed directly to the project or raised up with foam pads or silicone glue.
  6. Raised pieces can be shaped by gently pulling over closed scissors, bone folder, edge of a ruler, etc

  7. Apply Silicone Glue or 3D Foam Pads to stage 2.
Place directly over the same area of stage one and fix into place.
  8. Make sure their are enough 3d foam pads or silicone glue dots to support the whole piece to avoid areas sagging.
  9. To make sure your stages are in the right place, bend over your project so that it is directly under your eye line.

  10. Attach the remaining stages in the order as above.

Double Take

  1. Score the fold lines on the frame and the double take image with a ruler & an embossing tool.
  2. It is easier to do this before you cut them out.

  3. Cut out the frame, image & other elements from the sheet.
  4. When cutting out the frame, cut on the inside edge of the cutting line.

  5. Concentina fold the double take image as you would if making a fan. Always start with a valley fold.
  6. A valley fold is folding the image onto itselfso you see the back. A mountain fold is folding the reverse side onto itself so you see the image.

  7. Take the frame & place face down. Fold in the flaps and fix into place, then fold in the outside flaps and fix into place.

  8. Apply adhesive to the left hand flap of the image and fix to the left hand side of the frame. Line up the inside edge of the frame with the first fold. Apply adhesive to the right hand flap and fix to the right hand side of the frame as before.

  9. Apply adhesive to the back of the frame & fix to your project along with your chosen elements.

Twisted Pyramid

  1. Decorate a card blank as desired (backing paper, borders etc).

  2. Attach stage 1 directly onto a matting layer that compliments the design & attch this to the prepared card.

  3. Attach enough 3D Foam pads or Silicone Glue to the back of stage 2 for good support. Attach to stage 1 by twisting it clockwise and lining up the design with stage 1.
The corners of stage 2 will meet the edges of stage 1.
  4. 12mm x 12mm x 2mm Foam Pads or 12mm x 6mm x 2mm Foam Pads
    are ideal for this project.

  5. Repeat above steps until the pyramid is complete.
